I didnot like the webfax as it doesnot cover wishes of many people like me. People who have approved Perm should be allowed to file I140 and I1485 under old system even if Point Based system becomes law.

Hi,
I don't have surname in my Passport my full name is given in " Given Names".
so while filling up the form (D-156 and D-157) for appointment I put NA in surname, so now my name in "Applicant Name" is myname followed by NA.
IS it ok ? or does it create any problems while I go for visa stamping/interview.
If I cannot put NA then what do I put in Surname column on D-156 and D-157.

You meant to say NA for "not applicable" right? Others may not interpret Name followed by NA in the same way. This part of the world NA also stands for "North America" :)
This might cause issues in long run especially when you apply for GC or even extention of visa as the Name in the passport will not match the visa or even your records from school and university.

How did you open Expedite SR, I opened SR nearly five times, took two InfoPass, yet not FP ?
I just got lucky..it was the second time I called on the same day. First time I jiust got one more SR (4th one). the next time I called about 2hrs later I asked her the status of my 2nd SR and told her the whole saga of how long I have been waiting and about my PD becoming current blah blah....

I had a friend who was in the same situation as you. Being a nice guy, he waited till they got GC. Then divorced.
Poor fellow then remarried to a Desi girl after being pressurized by parents on a trip to India.
He soon realized that he had no hope of being able to get her here anytime soon. He tried to get her on a H1. That did not work out I don't know the exact detail how that got rejected(she is also an engineer). He then got really creative he brought her to Canada then worked the week in US and spent the weekend in Canada. After doing this for some time the Canadian Authorities figured it out and cancelled his Canadian work visa. Long story short, now he stays 6 months in US the other 6 in India with his wife. He has applied for GC for her. Unless President Obama does something he will keep living half life for a long time.
So the point is, if you are decided then waiting might increase your pain in the long run... On the other hand if you are not so sure, then give yourself some time and see if the issues that you may be having sort out. It is sometimes worth going to a marriage counsellor when you weigh in the loss that you both are about to incur, not to mention the mental trauma. All the best buddy.

Here are the steps in setting up "Bill Pay" from your Bank account (online)
1) Check with your bank if "Bill Pay" is a free service, or not for your account. Some banks have conditions that must be met for e.g. Direct Deposit, Certain minimum balance, certain type of account or not. If you don't meet the criteria your bank may charge a service fees for using "Bill Pay"!
2) You might need to get "Bill Pay" activated on your online account. This might be possible for some by clicking on a "Service Agreement" screen. For others you might need to visit the Bank to get it activated.
3) Most banks that support "Repeating payments" allow you to "Add Payee" for future transactions. Provide IV address here and add "Immigration Voice" as a payee

They may ask you whether you are going to work at the employers location or whether you are going to work at some third party's location. In the latter case you you may be asked to submit a copy of the contract between the end client and your company for your job specifically. Your previous denial may have an impact but your new case should not be rejected if you have sufficient documentation. Only if the previous denial was because of a "fraud" should it become a difficult issue for you to get a visa because i think such cases have a limitation of a few years before you can re-apply.

I guess my denial last year is due to poor project document given to me by my company. They initially gave me just 1 page letter describing the project and I was issued 221g to submit the full project report along with other company docs and later they denied my case.
So this time, I believe the VO must be aware about my denial reason and they are definitely going to ask me about the project report and I must take the full project report (containing market analysis, project proposal and other information) around 30-50 pages with me. I will also be carrying all other company docs such as IT returns of last 3 years, wage reports, compay location photographs etc..Do you think that should be enough?

Just got my passport renewed at SF.
Applied in person and opted to get it back in the mail.
Got it in hand exactly in a week from application date...(pretty smooth)....
And i used 2X2 in photo instead of 3.5X3.5 cms....both are ok.
They will adjust it properly in your passport for you...

Having shot 10's of thousands of pics on my cameras, I can tell you that I have formatted each of my CF cards only once, when I bought them. I've never had to reformat them for any reason. As Mats said, be careful not to pull them out of the camera when it's writing and you should have no problems.
There are many sensor cleaning threads here, but I'll echo the blower advice. The less you touch the sensor, the better off you are. I use an oilless diaphragm air compressor (for airbrush use, ~$100). It gives higher pressure air than a bulb blower, and has no propellants or oil in it that could end up on the camera. Most 'real' camera stores have sensor cleaning pads & solution these days. I too have used cotton swabs, and they will work, provided you don't leave any cotton fibers behind, which are a worse problem than the dust.

Sorry i keep on asking same questions again and again. I could not find any answer for that. What should I fill in "date of application" for priviously applied I-765, it should be date from EAD when they approved it or should it be the the date on which they received my application.
