Thank you very much for your quick reponse. Can I invoke AC21 now when an RFE is pending? Also, since I had already joined company C when I applied for 485, can I still invoke AC21. Do I reply to the RFE first and then invoke AC 21 or as part of RFE can I invoke AC21? Thanks again.

I have EB2 i-140 approved with PD Dec. 05. I am planning to change the employer.. was just waiting to see if CIR gonna help.. but looks like its not. If I change job now, I will have to do labor, i140 once again!! might be able to maintain PD. .. my question is... I believe that in Octo. 06, new quota for GC will be available. What are the guesses that the PD will become current (at least for Eb2 India) in Octo 06?? Some educated guesses are highly appreciated.

Thanks REQUIRE_GC. I am surprised that I have not received any notification when I had applied for my wife and myself on July 01.
Is this because you are EB2? You applied in NSC i assume.

Paskal is busy with schizophrenic members and members with obsessive compulsive disorder and with members who see hallucinations of reciept notices :D:D:D
Those who sign fedex in USCIS never thought their names willbe discussed on the internet

Here is what you get when you apply for student loans without GC/US Citizenship:
1. Trust loans (called Stafford loans also).
2. Need US Citizen co-signor. A co-signor with good credit scores helps in keeping the interest rates down.
3. Even with a US Citizen co-signor with good credit score, the interest rates are usually way higher that what a GC holder gets.
4. If you have more than one loan (every year/semester of college corresponds to a loan, though you may not have to go through the paper work formalities from the second year/semester to get the loan), you are NOT allowed to consolidate your loans during payoff. Consolidation helps bring down the monthly payment amount when the time comes to repay the loans.
5. Variable interest rates. Looking at the past few years, interest rates have never dropped, only moved north. To give you an idea it could be anywhere between 15 to 18% now to begin with.
In a nutshell, student loan is a very costly affair if you do not have GC/US Citizenship. The good thing is, there are no pre-payment penalties.
Hope that helps.

What kind of RFE besides the letter from the OBG doctor?
if u go to the doc, they will perform the the tests that are ok to perform..
Check with doc if they will accept the test results (PAP , HIV , etc) from your obgyns office. These tests are already done during initial stages of pregnancy.
Finally the doc will add a note to the medical report that some tests/shots are omited due to pregnancy.
I went through same thing..
Will the case be accepted with this partial report-- It will be.
Will there be an RFE? -- i dont know.. may be

10/18/2007: Senate Passed FBI Background Checks Improvement Amendment to CJS FY 2008 Appropriations Bill
* A small good news coming out of the Hill, helping to pull achey teeth out of a large number of immigrants who have been suffering from namechecks related backlogs. The Senate has approved an amendment by Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., to improve oversight of the FBI National Name Check Program, which faces a substantial backlog. The program is used to run background checks on people applying for immigration benefits or seeking employment with the U.S. government, among many other purposes. Levins provision, which was included as an amendment to the Commerce, Justice, and Science (CJS) Fiscal Year 2008 Appropriations Bill, would require the FBI to report to Congress every year regarding progress made in improving the FBIs system of processing background checks and automating investigative files. Thanks to the reader who offered the valuable information. For the amendment sponsor's announcement, please click here.
* Readers, please start contacting your Congressional delegation to support this bill through the Conference process!!!!!!!
* BRAVO!:)

I did a lot of research and found very little information on an established process of "firing" one's attorney and moving to self-represent the I485 application. Most resources talk about submitting a new G-28 form from a new attorney. What if I don't want an attorney to represent me anymore? is there a form for that?
Anyone??

So my AOS is which of the two: july 23rd (date courier received) or oct 17th (date checks encashed)?
There is a website called Google. Its amazing in that it is above nationality and responds to every "is which of the two"

OK....
"Father and Son" is a good shot - perhaps if you cropped it "tighter." However it does not really emphasize the ice-fishing activity as much as some other shots. The same goes for "Done for the Day." I wouldn't even know it was an ice fishing event - on Father and Son - you at least can see the "Fish Trap" letters ;-). Maybe it's just me.
Solitary fisherman is not as good of a shot for reasons mentioned by other posters. I would crop it tighter if you decide to use it. Include enough of the background to suggest solitude - but bring the subject closer. On the other hand - Solitary 2 is a great shot and while we can wish the fishing hole, the line and the rest were there - you have to work with what you have. I would perhaps use that one after all.
On purely "reporting" quality - have you considered "Look What I Caught !" (1 or 2) - the first one may not be the best one technically, the second one is better - but they do reflect what the fun of fishing is all about: catching fish ! Perhaps you could crop it/them differently to emphasize the boy with the fish.
I would probably go with Solitary Fisherman 2 in the end ;-)
Good luck.
